
Christine became interested in the ancient art of bone carving during a trip to New Zealand in 2011. She was fascinated with the beautiful taonga (treasures) that the master Maori carvers created out of bone and jade. Since then, she has been studying carving traditions of ancient cultures around the world to improve her skills
Her work is influenced by the sea, nature, and her travels.. Her creations are made from beef bone and found materials such as shell, fish bone, antler, horn, and wood.
